On May 6th, 2025 residents of the Village of Utica, Washington Township, and Morgan Township will be asked to vote on a 4.5 mil, 5-year, additional levy for the County Line Joint Fire District. This levy will assist to improve day to day operations, equipment, and structures.
As it stands, CLJFD staffs two part time Firefighter/EMT’s 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This levy would increase our operational efficiency and allow our community the resources it may need in the worst of times. We do rely heavily on our volunteer members to assist us on emergency calls, but volunteers typically are unavailable during the day time hours in a typical work week. Increasing our staffing will help us ensure you and your family have the assistance they need in the time you need it most.
